The barbecue is still fantastic! Haven't been there in over 20 years and the food is still great! The family tradition continues. Want great Barbque, you have to go to HB's!

BBQ alert! Melt in your mouth beef, tender pork, and a caramelized smoky sauce. Add some potato salad made by angels, slaw, or life-changing beans, and you are set. Until dessert, when you will want to reward yourself with some serious fried pie (10 flavors). There is a wood pile out back and fragrant meaty aromas fill the air from the smoke. Bring cash, no credit cards accepted. This place is the hidden BBQ gem you've been waiting to discover.

A nice little hole in the wall mom and pop shop that serves quality food with a smile. True its located in a neighborhood and space is very limited. But the place is definitely worth a try. Next time I go there I want to try a fried pie.

This is a great find in a residential area. Limited seating so get there early. Good portions. The fried pies are yummy. Ribs on Tuesday only

This place was brought to my attention by a THV 11 broadcast. The first thing CASH ONLY.
I was in the area so I stopped in for lunch. It was just after 10 a.m. and I was happily greeted by Ginny. I ordered the tamales and a regular beef sandwich to go. Two regulars came in and ordered which they were served quickly. I changed my order to eat in and was told no problem. The talmales come smothered in fritos, chili, onions & cheese. Although a bit bland for me a few shakes of bbq sauce brought them to life for me. The sandwich was loaded with tender beef and just enough cabbage to soak up the sauce. I had enough cash (I never carry cash) to add a freshly fried pie; I chose blueberry. Yeah...I will return if I'm in the area. I would like to try the patty melt.
